Booking Arrangements

Tents: Tents cannot be booked on-line, please phone for availability no more than two weeks before your intended stay. 2 to 3 man tents sized ≤ 3m x 3m or equivalent acceptable, with a maximum stay on any one pitch of 3 nights. This is to protect our grounds and allow the grass to recover between bookings. Please note, tent pitches are uneven and rocky; with the risk of high winds, we recommend mountain tents and rock pegs. Refunds are not issued due to bad weather.

Awnings: and trailer tents, for the same reason, must have a breathable groundsheet or no groundsheet. Awnings a maximum length protruding from your van of 3M is acceptable. Storm straps recommended due to risk of high winds.

Full payment is required at time of booking when made online. If you would like to book more than 14 nights, please phone reception. We kindly ask that campers arrive between 2 pm - 6 pm and leave by midday. Please phone us if this isn't convenient and we will do our best to accommodate you. (No arrivals after 9 pm). The first night’s payment is taken as a non-refundable deposit unless at least one month’s cancellation notice is given. Please note, refunds will not be given due to adverse weather conditions.

We have created most pitches to accommodate both right and left hand opening vans. However , if your camper is a right hand opener with an awning ( see below for explanation ), please choose pitches 16-19, or 30 or you will have to pitch the opposite way round in order to maintain the 6 meter distance between vans.

Bookings are recommended. We now have 20 hard standing pitches and can accommodate up to 8m long vans on most of these pitches. If the campsite appears full, it may be worth giving us a call for availability, as we retain control of some pitches which are not bookable on-line.

We have recently become aware that there is a possibility building work of 4 houses on the field behind pitches 46 - 51 will be taking place this Spring onwards. No dates have been confirmed and planning permission is still waiting to go ahead for 3 of the houses. We felt it was only fair to warn you that Pitches 26 -30 will be at least 40 meters away from this work and 46 – 51 are closer still. A £5/night reduction will be offered on these pitches if you are disturbed by noise during your stay.

Touring and Camping

Facilities… We are licensed as a small touring seasonal site with amenities including electric hook-ups throughout (16amps), 2 toilet blocks with showers, electric razor points and hairdryer sockets, an extra shower shack (great for families), kitchen and laundry area with washer/dryer/fridge/freezer, chemical waste and grey water disposal areas.

Maximum stay is one month. We are not licenced to accommodate people who are working whilst staying here.

Vans used for towing are only allowed with prior arrangement. As it's a small, quiet campsite, large groups are not allowed.

Families with young children should be aware that there is a quiet public road that runs through the campsite.

BBQ’s and beach fires allowed if responsible adult in charge. No BBQ's on grass please, as scorches the ground.

Dogs to be kept under control at all times please.

It is not permissible by law to fly drones on the campsite as you may never get any closer than 150ft (50m) to other people or their property.

No ball games to be played on the site, due to the risk of denting neighbours vans and distracting passing cars.

Right hand opening pitches. The easiest way to explain the difference between left and right hand opening vans is, if you imagine your van parked facing the sea, and if you stand behind your van, also facing towards the sea, is your habitation door on the right or lefthand side of your van? If it’s the right, the area to put your awning, or just to sit outside, is on the right of your van. If you do have a left hand opener, it’s ok to reverse in, if you have an awning, or just walk to the other side of your van to sit out.
