We kindly ask that campers arrive between 2 pm - 6 pm and leave by midday. Please phone us if this isn't convenient and we will do our best to accommodate you. (No arrivals after 9 pm). We have created most pitches to accommodate both right and left hand openers. However , if your camper is a right hand opener with an awning , please choose pitches 16-19 or you will have to pitch the opposite way round in order to maintain the 6 meter distance between campers. Thank you.

(If the campsite appears full, it may be worth giving us a call for availability, as we retain control of some pitches which are not bookable on-line)

Touring and Camping

We are licensed as a touring seasonal site for 50 pitches with amenities including electric hook-ups throughout (16amps), 2 toilet blocks with showers, electric razor points and hairdryer sockets, an extra shower shack (great for families), kitchen and laundry area with washer/dryer/fridge/freezer, chemical waste and grey water disposal areas. Well behaved dogs are welcome!

Fortrose Bay Campsite lies on the shore of the Moray Firth, with uninterrupted views of the distant mountains and spectacular sunsets. Please note, it can be subject to strong westerly winds.

Fortrose is an historic seaside village. It lies 15miles NE of Inverness and is a great base to explore the rest of the Highlands. The Black Isle benefits from its own micro climate, often having better weather than other parts of Scotland. It is virtually midge free!! which makes it a great place to camp. Chanonry Point is a 20min walk away and a great spot to view the UK's most northern colony of bottlenose dolphins.
